As there is no real healing abilities in Diablo II, do you think there will be any in D3?
I for one don't really like the concept of drinking hundreds of healing potions for everything :)

I agree - in any game drinking heaps of healing potions totally sucks... a healing class, or at least some other way to regain health faster and easier would be much better...

but u also got to take in to account that the healing class also has to be effective in single player... i mean all u'd be good at was healing, so u'd be running around healing ur enemies i mean in the diablo 2 u had to do the 2nd mission to buy a mercenary from act 1. maybe make it kind of like the paladin with auras but has healing abilities as well, kind of like the paladin but cooler... and can heal

the whole healing thing umm if you watched the new diablo 3 barbarian/witchdoctor gameplay it tells you that when you kill somethings little red orbs drop and you run on it and it heals you little red orbs do

Kind of makes healers moot, yea.

It is not like a wow-healer, I was thinking more like a battle-priest. Those orbs probably won't be enough, an area heal would be very helpful in big fights (like 40-50 creatures at the same time).

I guess I wouldn't be disappointed to see one.

Blizzard will also use the BlizzCon event to introduce Diablo 3 to gamers and if the excitement of Blizzard employees is anything to go by, the game will be a big deal. According to a message sent to WoW Guru by former Blizzard employee Chris Hartgraves, Diablo 3 takes place in heaven. Hell is trying to take it over and it is AWESOME looking ... Imagine the brightness of heaven being taken over by the darkness of hell ... Imagine WoW but in a Diablo world in amount of size and playability ... Also, guild housing is available in this game for those of you who know about it. They should have a gameplay demo to show at BlizzCon.

This should resolve all the complaints of the old Chakra's being "impractical" or "clunky." It's definitely going to be far easier to get started, and the big problem of "ramp-up time" is gone. Now, though, I'm wondering if you'll be locked into one Chakra state after activating it. (Someone who knows, leave a comment for us, please!) If so, you'll need to pick your Chakra state wisely, based on your knowledge of the fight's mechanics and what's coming next. If you play reactively, you might get stuck in the wrong stance and not get the full benefit of the buff for the spells you need to cast. Granted, this does support the idea that good strategies and preparation are going to be what lead to success in Cataclysm, something we've been speculating on for a while now.

Well if they don't like the idea of having a traditional cleric in their game they could make something like the Paladin in D2, but with a few added target and pty healing spells. :)
