That's actually a pretty good article on what the remaining classes could be... As the author suggests, they are most likely to be mock-ups of previous classes, only with their skills and abilities all mixed up.

This sounds kind of disappointing to be honest, but I guess it's also hard to be original?

Paladin's are cool, but they need better skills than they have in WoW. In fact, they need to be totally different from WoW...

And I think they will. Diablo isn't gonna be as wow is and I really hope that Blizzard changes as much as they can on the Paladin's abilities.

Druids are cool but they don't appeal to everyone

i think the druid is fun character to play... when ur level 30. however they need a character like the paladin to return so playing with ur friends and what not is better.

I want to see a healer class in D3. It has never done before.

A Death Knight would be awesome! I actually like that the new classes won't be exactly new, but renamed and improved ones from DII. I usually play offensive casters in all RPGs, so I was glad to learn that Wizard continues the tradition of Sorceress :) (And Witch Doctor is similar to Necromancer to an extent). I expect the rest of the classes will be similar as well, or perhaps one completely new one and one a "remade" old?

Would be interesting for multiplayer, but not sure what healer would do in single player?

well the healer would be like the paladin in ways with a set of offensive stuff, auras, and healing stuff cause well know that'd be ba

It can be a cleric-style class or as Lord Silverwing said, it can be paladin with some healing spells, but I don't think that if there was a healer class, it wouldn't be paladin. It's a hybrid class, it has a mixed style and its heal is useful only for itself most of the time (not mentioning WoW).

A healing class would be extremely dependent, and is really just a paladin, save for the offensive skills that do not make him dependent.

i wouldnt like to see a paladin. ill be honest i havent played D1 or D2. but i do plan on playing 3. i played a paladin in WoW and they were either too strong or too weak. i think something like a priest from WoW would make a good healer type class. but maybe only 2 or 3 max healing abilities and the rest shadow or damaging holy spells. as a full healer couldnt do single player (plus would get dull) but if the game is about playing together then they do need a 'healer'

Healer classes in WoW are not dependent, cleric class in Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series is also not dependent can be easily played as solo. I'm sure blizz will figure out the healer thing for D3 (if there will be one).

It will probably be a "shadow knight" similar kind of thing. The healing will most likely me taken by the witch DOCTOR, who more than likely has the ability to heal. Plus, health will be dropped in orbs off of monsters killed, so any healing to be done would most likely be minor. To my knowledge, there is no undead bringing, hellspawn of a class yet. I say we go back to the games lore roots with some good old Necromancer fun.

Those orbs work as potions, so no big difference except free slots on your belt :). (I don't know if it will be minor or major but) Healing is still needed if there will be bigger and tougher fights than those in D2.

100%, It's going to be an ARCHER. Take my word for it.

I actually wasn't going to say anything about this thread, in fact I wasn't even a registered member on this site till i saw your post diabloiiikore. Everyone else was talkin about the Paladin class, and for some messed up reason started to compare things to WoW, granted they are made by the same people. It's not the same game. And as for the next class I absolutely agree with you diablo, it will be an Archer type class.

I think I know what you mean. Yeah some very dark class D3 needs yet.

So far, a full-melee, a full-spell and a hybrid class have been announced. So the next class to be announced is definitely a archer/ranger class. I can't figure the last remaining class though... (if there'll be only 5 - my theory is 5 before expansion :P) There maybe another hybrid class, but with more spell casting based.

Well, the witchdoctor is kinda a weird class... If he is meant to be something similar to a necro, then I think the 5th class will be something like a druid. But, if the witchdoctor is meant to be something like the druid, then the 5th class will prolly be something like a necro. :p

... maybe a warlock of some kind ...

Maybe they'll go a bit out there and make a non-human class, like some creature or a robot. :p
