So the barbarian is the only character coming over from Diablo 2.

Would you have preferred any others to come over, or are you annoyed that even one class is being kept?

Personally I wouldn't have minded starting with a clean slate!

I think having both types of characters is best - that way you can satisfy both tpyes of people ;)

I am just glad they bought the barbarian over since I used to play it.

I will play it in D3 but if it still isn't as good as it could be then will try out the other character types. Barbarian should be pretty cool though

But if you bring over one, why not bring over more?

Whirlwind without a doubt will still be the best skill in PvP!

I enjoyed all Diablo 1 classes,

I enjoyed Necromanceer on Diablo 2

Pretty peeved that they put the Necromancer in Diablo3 as some African Voodoo bullshit.

The level designs look great considering they will be ramdomly generated aswell. Although im not excited by any of the 3 classes. Hope the other 2 are good.

Didn't know they are randomly generated - nice!

I'd go for a clean slate. This game is supposed to be D3, not Diablo 2.5. Diablo2 was - and is - a great game and I play it even now. I can go back to D2 anytime, which means I can play as a Barbarian, or Necromancer whenever I want (even after D3). I want more variation and new classes in D3.

I think everyone who played Diablo II will have their own favorite character and possibly one which they have spent a lot of time building up the points, skills and resources of.

Advanced options of Diablo III could allow Diablo II characters to be imported across. That would be great.

But even without that, I loved playing as the assassin and will have to look at the new characters before I make up my mind about whether I can stand playing the game without it.

actually i love a clean slate, there supposed to be new heoes not old ones. Change there names make them look cool change skills all that stuff... make a ninja instead of an assasin, make a cleric instead of a paladin. Barbarian can be a knight... well i guess they can keep the name. The Voodoo guy is kind of wierd and stuff but i'm dissapointed in it being voodoo to be awesome lol. i'm glad they made the sorceror a wizard because a sorceror is more elemental then a wizard.

A cleric would be very cool - didn't think of that class before!
