As I can remember correctly, D2 had paladin. D3 will have paladin surely! What about knight? I suppose D3 will have it as well.

90% will have archor as well! It is one of the best classes in all games!

I say there will be a paladin/knight/healer type class for sure!

Several months ago I heard a rumor that says Bard will replace Paladin in Diablo 3.
The bard is going to have "Stances", similar to "Auras" of a paladin. This is sad news, because Paladin/Knight is one of the most favourite character classes in RPGs. Which means many people will be very upset about it.
IMO, there should be a warrior class similar to Paladin/Knight in D3, no matter what. Bard seems interesting, but it will never replace a Paladin or Knight.
About the Healer Class, I'm not sure. I don't think a healer class is a good idea in D3, because D3 already has Healing Orbs mechanism, which will heal all characters as they kill monsters. We have already heard that healing/potions will not be an important part of D3. And even if it was, a healer class would be a support character in multiplayer games and useless in single-player games.

Isn't a Bard some sort of musician? I find it hard to believe such a class could replace the warrior/healer Paladin...

If D3 will have the same class system as D2:
* classes revealed are;
- Barbarian (melee class)
- Witch Doctor (summoner class)
- Wizard (spell class)

So we have a ranged class (like Amazon) and a healer/support class (like Paladin) left to be announced.
