I would like a more advanced chat system than the previous games.
I don't like the current one i D2 often it's hard to notice if anyone says anything.
So a real chat window.

Also, if you host a game, a seperate window to control it would be nice.
To be able to kick, band and do all these things without having to remember commands.

Also, i know that in D2 there's a friendlist, but a seperate window for that too, so that you (once again) don't have to remember a bunch of commands that you prob will forget anyway if youn don't play for a while.

Although a seperate window for control while hosting a game is a good idea, two windows on the screen will take up a large space. I'm thinking of a pop-up kinda system, so if you are the host, an extra window button appears or becomes active at the corner of the chat window.

Well, all these functions could be available in the Party screen, as in D2 you can only invite accept and silence players.
If you could add a kick button and a ban button there as well it would be great.
And perhaps there could be a friends tab in the very same window.

Yes, there should be a simpler way besides /f add, msg, r, friends list, whois, etc., but that did make it what it was.
