So, played a little D2 the other day shortly after watching the gameplay vid for D3.
I noticed that there are no corpses in the gameplay.
Maybe this is something that will change in the future, but perhaps not.
I remembering when first playing Diablo 2, it was a long time ago, and back the detail level was extremely amazing, and i still think it is.
All the corpses, blood on the floor and the walls, it really set an atmosphere that what was going on in this world was not pretty.
In the burial grounds there were killed rogues hanging from a tree, all bloody.
I didn't see thsese stuff in the gameplay, and i just want to make sure that details like this does not disappear.

It takes a couple mintues before the corpses disappear, plus in D3, you're gonna be killing a LOT of mobs in one area. It will surely add up in bloody floors and bodies on your screen.

I don't expect Blizzard to leave out details like that.
But it is odd that you barely see any blood or corpses in the videos. Maybe they've made an option to disable bloody details so its suited for young players.
In the video it may be like that; the blood and gore details have been disabled for the same purpose, so everyone can watch how the game is like.
I think thats the case, but I have nothing to build this assumption on.

what he means is the setting, before you walked into the room and killed all the monsters there were corpses on stretching racks which have split in half such as in the Catacombs in d2, he wants the setting to not only have the gothic appeal but add the gore, such as blood on the walls and mutilated corpses to the settings
